Our Connections program is designed to offer peer-to-peer support and education, especially for our more rural members of the adoption/guardianship triad who may not have the opportunity for in-person support. Through the program, you may request one-on-one connection with someone who has a particular adoption or guardianship-related experience, and we will share the name/contact info of an appropriate connection based on your request.
A few ways the program has been used in the past include:
- An adult adoptee looking to connect with someone else who has gone through the adoption search process
- A parent considering making an adoption plan who would like to talk with someone else who has ever had a child placed for adoption
- An adoptive parent looking to connect with another parent regarding trauma-informed parenting
To get started, fill out our First Step Form and select “Connections Peer Support Program,” and a staff member will be in touch within 1 business day to begin the process of matching you with a Connection.
